Input Requested for Two New Worksheets
I would really love to hear some feedback from you.
Sometimes Scott will develop a new type of worksheet, but for some reason it doesn’t quite work. He has several partially completed worksheets that he hopes to finish.
We currently have two types of worksheets that are very near completion, and we would love some input from people who might use them.
One is posted here: Put the Numbers In Order. Make some selections and click “Create It.” The worksheet technically “works,” but it seems flat. Are we finished with it? Is there more that should be done with it? In which category does it belong? Counting? Greater Than/Less Than? Something else?
The other is posted here: Function Tables. Does the selection page make sense? What should the instructions say on the worksheet? The instructions will be vary depending what is selected. How can we make it clear to the student what he is supposed to do with this worksheet?
As soon as we get some good answers to these questions, these two types of worksheets will be added to The Math Worksheet Site. I look forward to hearing your suggestions. Thanks!

Update
We received good input, finished Function Tables and added it to the subscribers area.
Now you need to be a subscriber and logged in in order to access the Function Tables worksheets.
We’re still interested in more input about the other type of worksheet, Put the Numbers In Order. Constructive criticism, loud accolades, or something in between… I’m interested in your thoughts.

This website is very helpful

I agree it does seem a little flat, like something is missing. Maybe another selection where you can choose to have fewer or more numbers to out in order like 35, 28, 61 or 35, 28, 61, 43, 79, 88, 19, 27, or maybe even ten numbers.
But probably a better idea would be to put the numbers and spaces side by side to fill up more of the page and give students more chances to practice per page.

I also agree that it would be nice to be able to select the amount of numbers to have in each section.
I would like to be able to select fractions, and to be able to select only decimals, and be able to have both positive and negative numbers rather than either or.
Basically the look of it currently seems aimed at very young kids, relatively few problems and large numbers, but I think it could also be purposed for older kids with more and smaller problems on the page, so perhaps there could simply be an option for the total number of problems on the page.
The category is tough. Counting obviously makes sense, but some people with slightly older children might not even glance in the category, and it does have options that make it appropriate for use with older kids.
This is a very useful site. I haven’t visited for quite a while, and it is nice to see the changes.

Being able to choose how many numbers used per line would be a bonus. Could you also include odd or even, or perhaps skip counting?

For the function worksheet (which is great!), perhaps these instructions would work:
Below are 4 Function Tables. For each table, what function(s) were performed on the numbers in the left column to obtain the numbers in the right column?
Or, you could be more brief, maybe: state the function that applies to each input and output Function Table below.
Keep up the wonderful work!

I love it. I have several students that are struggling with this concept. Thank you so much for the worksheet.
