Hello World!

I’m absolutely thrilled to open the new blog for The Math Worksheet Site!

I, Denise, have long wanted a means to communicate with our subscribers, as well as to the users of the free side of The Math Worksheet Site. The FAQ and tips pages I tried just didn’t sound good, and they also didn’t indicate that I would add new information frequently. They never got past the proposal stage. Now I’ve discovered blogs! It looks like blogging will give me an outlet for all the things that are bubbling up inside of me to share with you.

I’m also very interested to hear from you, including your experiences using The Math Worksheet Site and your assistance when we need clarification in the design of a new type of worksheet.

Thanks so very much for reading and rejoicing with me!

I have been using your web site for years now. And today I finally subscribed for 6 months. It is a wonderful site and I use it all the time for all age students. The fact that I can generate new values instantly really helps my students who need some extra help!

I agree. It is great for individualizing instruction, a hot buzzword in education now, but one we special ed teachers have always done. Even the cleverest students would never guess that “little johny’s” practice page has only the numbers he can use. Sometimes i have to generate a sheet a few times to get the difficulty I want, but very worth it to have all the kids think they are all the same, that the teacher is just weird because she is paranoid about cheating.
I love the money sheets, time, fractions, missing numbers, and the five minute drills.
I use the five minute drills as time-outs. THey have something to refocus on and a reminder that they can do so they get a positive self image. I also love it because it puts them in charge of how long they stay in time-out, and i don’t have to worry if i give them to long, or not long enough to calm down and rejoin the class.

I appreciate your site so much. My daughter and I use your worksheets to help implement the math portion of her neurodevelopmental therapy. She can progress at her own pace with no worry of running out of the sheets she needs more practice with.
